The Sea Life Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am until 5pm. The only day of closure is Christmas Day.
How to get there
The Blackpool Aquarium at the Sea Life Centre is just over half a mile from the hotel, and it’s a pretty straightforward to get there. Head southwest onto Coronation St, then take a right onto Reads Ave. From here follow the road into New Bonny St, and then it’s your 1st left to get you to the almost identically named Bonny St and the Sea Life Centre will be there on your right.
The nearest car parking available is the pay and display behind the Centre on Bonny St. However, it’s actually quicker to walk as it’s almost a straight road all the way there, so when you get to Coronation St, a few yards away is Vance Road, all the way to the bottom onto Central Drive, another few yards and you’re on New Bonny St, easy!

There’s plenty to do and see once you get there, including the brand new Turtle Shelter which allows you to watch the turtles living and swimming in their new environment – it’s pretty amazing to see!
There is also the Interactive Rockpool, which allows you to hold some of the creatures but don’t worry mums it’s completely safe!
In total there are over 200 different creatures at the Sea Life Centre, so there will be something to satisfy everyone, and don’t forget to catch some of the feeding demonstrations throughout the day. There will be signs telling you the times of the feeds.
There is also a children’s play area and refreshments available all day making this an ideal day out for the entire family.
